When will I get my Medicare card?

You’ll get your Medicare card in the mail about two weeks after you enroll. Your card is included in your official “Welcome to Medicare” packet.

In the event that you already benefit from Social Security, then you’ll get Medicare Part A and Part B mechanically when you are first eligible and do not need to register. Medicare will send you a”Welcome to Medicare” packet 3 weeks before you turn 65.

What are the 4 types of Medicare?

There are four parts of Medicare:

  • Part A: provides inpatient/hospital coverage.
  • Part B: provides outpatient/medical coverage.
