I purchased a "Microsoft Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop" L5V-00006 in 2020 and it was a godsend in improving my comfort when typing.
Unfortunately it failed in 2023. The keyboard would only send one character before I had to take the battery out and restart it. It was out of warranty and Microsoft do not offer a repair service for it.
In the end I bought a second because there are not many ergonomic keyboards about and I know this suited my hands, but I was very dissapointed that I could not get it repaired, nor yet purchase just the part of the set that was defective. Lot of ewaste there.
I think Microsoft need to think, in these days of the right to repair and the need to sell sustainably about thier policies here.
I notice today that should I want another replacement that it is out of stock at Microsoft and Amazon, and the replacement is formed in a completely different way. I think it is poor practice to develop a specialist product and discard it in this way
