I have flown extensively throughout North America and Air Canada is a big disappointment. They do not have the amenities US carriers have including on board services such as plug in capabilities, choice in beverage and snack selection in most situations, and forget about pillows or blankets. I found the requirement to show photo ID to board most annoying considering US carriers did away with this a long time ago.
