Awful customer service today. I have spent several thousand dollars over the last couple of weeks buying materials from the Lowes in Ruston, Louisiana. My remodel being almost complete I had some unused materials to return, in particular one sheet of 1/4 inch plywood which was the only item for which I was missing my receipt. Lowes staff acknowledged it was a Lowes product, in returnable condition but that their policy would not allow a return without a receipt. They could see all I bought, including several other items I returned with the plywood they would not accept. They said this was a ‘random’ thing that happens with some products as in general they do accept returns without a receipt and provide a store credit which I was happy to accept. The manager on duty said ‘there is nothing we can do’. If true , this is a stupid and arbitrary policy. Since when is customer service and returns based on random selection?
Very poor service and if there was a Home Depot in Ruston, I would stop using Lowes as my first choice.
