Navy Federal Customer Reviews

If you need a home equity loan, they are wonderful. Excellent rates, efficient processing, great communication, courteous customer service. But have them mail you the check. Do NOT use your Navy Federal Saving account or open a checking account to pay bills with using the loan. They use a third party Bill Pay company who doesn't process your payments according to when you specify the bills should go out, and Navy Federal has no control over that. That means you basically have no idea when your bills are going to be paid. There are "reasons" for this, none of which make any sense if you have used a regular bank's Bill Pay. Bottom line is that Navy Federal's Bill Pay doesn't work like a regular banks', and your bills may very likely be paid late, and no one tells you that.
