We subscribed to Windstream phone and internet service. The only package supposedly available for our area is 3 MBS download speed, which while not great, is better than nothing as there is no cellular service either.
We have long periods where, by their own speed test meter, we only get 0.5 MBS speed.
We contacted Windstream and they said the only option for more speed was a second line. We agreed and the technician showed up to install. Upon reviewing the lines he said it is a general bandwidth problem in our area and the line would need a different fix to increase speed. He did not install the second line as he said there was no point.
It has now been 2 months and they still can't fix it.
We are exploring getting satellite internet as we have had family members switch and are pleased. There are no other options in our rural area.
I highly recommend utilizing a different company if possible. Both service and customer service are poor.
